If you live in the SFV, you have to go to Tasty Burgers aka The Shish Kebab House. 2 huge juicy pork chops for $18.50 with rice, salad and Armenian bread! I had never been there before and went because my usual places were having their parking lots paved. I was so impressed, I called the restaurant and said that I would definitely be back! 12525 Vanowen St. in North Hollywood. 818-764-0572. You have to order the pork chops! I'll be back next time I have a craving for them!
We came here once before while checking out the Harmon Oaks School, which my daughter now attends. Didn't know what this place was called but I think I left a review for another place that had similar food. Anyways, I came back here to order dinner. Its literally right next door, so I could pick up the food and then get my daughter. Decided to order the combo chicken and steak kabob plate - asked for hummus instead of salad (extra). Also got the Armenian burger and fries. Drove here, parked on the street and grabbed the food. Ladies were very friendly and nice - remembered them being slightly snarky last time we were here. Got the food and got my daughter. Gave her a few fries, she gobbled them down! They were just slightly salted and crispy. Got home and shared the burger with my hubby. Not sure what makes it Armenian, but it was tasty and juicy. Came with normal lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. Kebabs were also good - they provided 2-3 pitas. Overall a good place to grab food.
Today was my first time trying this place It's a little hole in the wall lost in North Hollywood on Vanowen , and my friend recommended that we meet there because the food is so good! Today we met there and she had the pork chops plates and I had the chicken kebab plate Oh my God it was so good and my chicken was super moist and very tasty It comes with a small salad and a portion of rice with a grilled tomato and a grilled jalapeño pepper and a pita bread For the price, the portion is very huge and I am so pleased I was able to try that place I'll definitely will go back

I love this spot! The food is delicious... always fresh and cooked just right. The workers behind the counter are kind, attentive and efficient -- they take good care of their customers and always seem to go the extra mile. My favorites on the menu-- so far --are the Philly cheese steak (meat is tender and it's melted to perfection) and the cheeseburger, as well as the fries and Greek salad but my stomach has had an eye on the kabob plates... I've had to hold back from salivating when Ive seen other customers' food. Needless to say, I'll be back here soon to get my feed on. Another thing that is important to me is ambiance and they seem to have gotten it right... the place is quaint, but the tables are spaced out as to give you enough room for some privacy. Unlike other places like this that feel cramped and chaotic, this place allows me to breathe (eat) easy. I love that it's always clean here too. My fave seating spots are on the patio, which has a roof to shield you from the sun but there is an openness about the space that invites a warm breeze to move through the restaurant. The vibe here is casual and charming... can't say enough good things about the workers and lastly, did I mention the patio is studded with Edison lights?! To top it off, I've never had a problem with parking here... ample space in the lot next door and in back
Been a customer here for many years. Some of the best and authentic Armenian bbq you will find in the San Fernando Valley. Stopped by to pick up a beef luleh plate a few days ago. Service is excellent and quick. Plenty of seating indoors. Tasty Burger is a must try!

I have been a customer for many years and this place has not once let me down. Their food is top notch and the portions are so generous that you're able to share a meal with a loved one. The service has always been great and such a homely Feeling. Always get the order right. The ambiance is casual. I honestly have never eaten there in person as I always order for pick up. Highly recommend the pork chop plate, teriyaki chicken plate, Lamb chop plate, cheeseburger with french fries. The cheeseburgers are SUPERIOR.
